Bull is huge attraction at festivals, earning $13,000 per appearance
Raton, a, 1,100-pound Spanish bull, gored a 29-year-old man during a festival.
Raton, a 1,100-pound bull whose owners earn big money to bring him to bull runs, burnished his reputation this weekend by killing his third victim in 10 years. The 29-year-old man was gored at a festival in Eastern Spain and died later at a hospital.
The bull, whose name translates to Mouse, earns $13,000 for his owners for each appearance and has his own Facebook page.
"He's the one that gets the highest prices," owner Gregorio de Jesus told The Guardian. "But still he works out the cheapest because wherever he goes organizers double the ticket price."
Witnesses said the latest victim appeared to be drunk before suffering the fatal injuries. Valencia's Las Provincias newspaper cited witness accounts saying the man had been escorted back to his seat in the stands during the bull run just before Raton's appearance.
He made his way back down to the ring and was promptly charged and tossed by the killer bull.
